Nikole and Jamin

Nikole and Jamin were married on a private estate in Deer Lodge, MT. The property was beautiful with the mountain backdrop that was next to the open field that held the reception tent. The ceremony was within walking distance and had a small creek flowing next to it. With live music, friends and family, and storm clouds rolling it - this wedding day was full of love and good fortune.

Read below Nikole's thoughts on the day.

What was your favorite part about your wedding day?

From start to finish, the day was more than I ever could have imagined, and it feels impossible to narrow it down. I think listening to Jamin’s vows was the most emotional and memorable part of the day for me. With the river running by and the storm rolling in, it was just such a special moment. I loved the time we got to spend together during sunset photos, it was so nice to have those moments to talk and laugh and really just enjoy each other. I also really loved seeing and hearing the joy from all of our guests. We really wanted our reception to be a celebration of our love for all the people who support our love. It was absolutely perfect and so much fun!

What made your wedding day special?

The weather! From rain, to sunshine, to rainbows, to a glowing sunset…it was pure magic! The property is owned by Jamin’s step-dad and we are working on buying him out, which already makes it a special location but those skies were really showing off for us! To be able to say our vows on the same property where we will build our future home is something I will hold close to my heart for the rest of my life. Also having our dogs involved- they are our babies and I couldn't imagine our day without them!

Where did you get inspiration for your wedding day from?

I knew I wanted a boho/rustic style with mostly neutral colors. I really wanted the greens and blues of the landscape and sky to be the highlight, so it felt right to keep everything else more simple. I had no idea how much color we would get from the sky that day! I also had a lot more decor planned out in my head..but that gets exhausting quickly when you are mostly doing diy projects. Honestly, the simplicity of it all turned out even better than I could have imagined!

What did you enjoy about the services you received from Leather & Ivory? What difference did the services make at your wedding?

Jessyka made all the difference in the world! I was able to truly relax and enjoy my entire wedding day because I knew she had everything taken care of. I didn’t worry about a single detail because it was all taken care of…this gave me so much more time to enjoy all of my friends and family. I also really appreciated the venue walk-through that Jessyka did ahead of the wedding. Because our property was such a blank slate she helped me plan everything in such an experienced and thoughtful way. She also was diligent about getting in contact with all my other vendors before the wedding and working with them throughout the entire wedding day- this saved me so much time and energy.
